The Third Wedding’s A Charm

Camille + Alex’s Wedding Party at Chesford Grange

It's not every day that I get asked to photograph a third wedding, even less so when it's the same couple. So, when Camille and Alex popped into my inbox last year asking if I was available to cover their wedding party in October - which would be their third 'wedding' - I was surprised to say the least.

Camille and Alex originally planned an all-out party near her family home in France, but COVID had other ideas! They'd managed a small celebration but with Yorkshire lad Alex's close friends and family unable to travel due to restrictions it called for further celebrations. Formalities (and their second 'wedding') sorted at the register office back in the UK and it was time for their third (and final?) wedding celebration, a huge party at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth.

Despite having a tight budget - such is the case with three weddings to cover - Camille was determined to decorate their venue to bring in her and Alex's fun and colourful relationship, choosing autumnal colours, pumpkins and all the fun of October. The surroundings were great, leaves were orange and falling, the sunlight was gorgeous, and as always my little adventurous walk around the venue revealed a hidden colour-contrasting shipping container which was a perfect, and unusual, backdrop for couple portraits!

Take a look at the results - I can't say that the third time is a charm, but it was certainly an epic party and I couldn't ask for a better couple!
